About us
History:
The company Gross Optic was founded in 1994 in Belgrade. Having started with just a few employees, we reached the number of 150 employees and leadership position in this part of Europe in the last decade.
In 2004, the company was divided into three units:

Gross Optic • production and sale of ophthalmic lenses

Optical Division • distribution of spectacle frames and sunglasses of Safilo Group and other less significant brands

Diopta • chain of retail shops in the territory of Serbia

The structure of ownership consists of 100% private equity.
Location:
Gross Optic is located in the business and industry part of the city, occupying the area of 6000 square meters in Street 13. Oktobra no 13 Umka Belgrade. The Company’s main activity is the production of ophthalmic lenses for spectacle frames.
Good organizational structure of the company consists of 40 employees in the administration department and 80 ones in the production sector. The production plant of highest technological level and the professional expertise of the employees make Grossoptic the biggest producer of ophthalmic lenses in this part of Europe.
Production:
With the annual production of 1.450.000 standard and prescriptive lenses, Grossoptic achieved the highest reputation on the markets of Serbia, Montenegro, Italy, Germany, FYR of Macedonia and Croatia. Approximately 55% of the production is intended for export. The main markets are: Italy, FYROM, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Due to good production policy and high technology machines, Grossoptic produces a large number of different products with different technological treatments: tinting, hard coating and multicoat antireflection coating.
Quality:
High quality of products is the key factor in Grossoptic strategy. Owing to production itself as well as constant maintenance of company's image, the emphasis is on quality and control department. Production has been carried out in accordance with ISO standards 8990-1, 8990-2, 8990-3, 8990-4 and Directive EEC 93/42.
We are the owners of Certottica certificates, one of the most recognized institute for quality control of medical devices, which are a guarantee and recommendation that our ophthalmic lenses are of the greatest quality. Also we own the certificate YUQS-a i IQNet-a on System Management Quality ISO 9001.
Distribution network:
Grossoptic company always believes in direct relationship with its clients and therefore it has invested in a more organizational structure: opening of representative offices in Italy, Macedonia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina intending to provide the clients on that territory with more efficient and accurate products distribution as well as to directly control products distribution in the most important markets.
Grossoptic has been constantly oriented towards satisfaction of consumers and therefore it permanently improves the work of distribution network: call center, logistic and delivery service are characterized by high operations quality and synchronization, all with the purpose of obtaining more efficient distribution and delivery.

Grossoptic provides entire equipment for ophthalmologic laboratories and optician shops.
We are distributor of japanese company NIDEK (www.nidek.com): lens edger - of the highest quality and technology, tools and spare parts for optician (Centrostyle, Italy), optician shops interiors equipment - with imported furniture or according to special requests of clients. In few words, our principle is everything in one place and closer and more complete cooperation with every client. You only have to devote to the consumer and everything else is our concern.
